bARACK'S SPEECHES DAMAGE ECONOMY

i read today in the WSJ about the harm in obama's words. i totally agree. i think things are bad but the doom and gloom from the media is making it worse. i remember a couple months before all of this- i was worried but not really.. then the media started talking about it nonstop and all of a sudden companies were letting go tons of people, etc. it comes to a point where it is too much information and complaining about our problems. i haven't read that many articles where anyone is talking about how to solve it. the stimulus is going to save us and everyone knows this... it is just throwing money at the special groups. if the news papers were honest about what was really in the stimulus and not writing along party lines - it would be a very different story.. it's disappointing really the way we have hope for the politicians but all they can see is their future political career.

fashion week- DEAD!!

tomorrow i will post more on NYC fashion week. it is kinda dead this season but those that are fantastic are really standing out. i already have some faves. does anyone have any thoughts on United Bamboo?

REDHEADS

i am loving all the redheads around lately. look in all of the mags and all of the ads- soooo many redheads. i have always wanted to go red but have never found the right color. my father was a natural redhead but it never looked quite right on me.
it must be some kind of marketing thing that they are using more redheads and especially in this economy- they need something to get people's attention and make them want to buy "special shampoo" or shoes you don't need.  i guess i shouldn't be saying anything b/c i am a sucker for anything "new and improved."

stimulus plan WITH INTEREST

i am amazed that no one seems concerned by the stimulus plan which is currently over 1 trillion dollars.
i just got laid off and i would like more jobs obviously but i don' think this stimulus plan is the one. it seems like all of the politicians just started throwing anything and everything in the plan to make their main supporters are happy. we are supposed to be doing something to help people now that will also help in the future not building schools that aren't needed just to create jobs for the present.  this is just job- welfare. we are creating jobs that are not needed.
why exactly is the stimulus plan over 500 pages long? do we know what we are doing?
i thought the president was more informed but at this point it feels as though his staff is telling him about the stimulus plan and he has yet to read it. this thought really scares me. we need a hands-on president who does what he says but so far he is not really following thru....
he promised bipartisan and he also said he would limit the lobbyists but he nominated William Lynn- this is a conflict of interest. the reason is that lobbyists go to congress and fight on the behalf of someone. if that person is then put in the white house this would affect those they were originally fighting for-and obviously they would still be loyal to those they were fighting for not the whole of america that they are now working for...

i still love the january cover for mad mag with the prez- hilarious!!

sorry for no punctuation really bad with that...
